Free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone Coming Soon

If you’re a fan of battle royale games, well get ready for Call of Duty: Warzone, which will be coming real soon on PC, PS4, and Xbox One for free.

It may seem that Call of Duty did something out of the blue with Warzone, something similar to when Respawn launched Apex Legends. Well it’s not entirely correct. If you were a player on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you might’ve noticed that the developers of the game have been teasing about a batte royale game.

Despite Call of Duty: Warzone being a free-to-play title, the game will at first be available for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare owners first, where they will get access to the game at 8am (PDT) on March 10. As for the rest of the gamers who don’t have the Modern Warfare, it’ll be accessible at 12pm (PDT) on the same day.

Yes, since the game is free-to-play, you don’t need to own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to download and play Call of Duty: Warzone.

The game is set to feature two game modes; Battle Royale and Plunder. Battle Royale mode sees up to 150 players for the fight to be the last squad standing.

As for Plunder, the race is on to collect the most in-match Cash by looting across the map, taking down enemies to steal their Cash, and completing in-match Contracts.

For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare owners, Activision have stated that the file size for the game update will take around 18 to 22GB. Meanwhile, non-owners will need to make space and download around 83-101GB to play the game.
