Sony Unveils New WF-SP800N Wireless Noise-Cancelling Sports Headphones 24

The folks over at Sony have unveiled a new wireless noise-cancelling audio gadget geared towards those with an active lifestyle, the Sony WF-SP800N sports headphones. Unlike some of their other noise-cancelling offerings, this one has an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, making it suitable for sports.

It is said that the Sony WF-SP800N charging case can hold up to 18 hours of music playback per full charge, 26 hours with noise-cancelling disabled. If you’re in a hurry, 10 minutes of charging is expected to give up to 60 minutes of music playback.

While the sports headphones have noise-cancelling technology, it also has Sony’s signature EXTRA BASS for that added oomph in your music. You can customize your listening experience by using the Sony | Headphones Connect app on Android and iOS. You can even enable the 360 Reality Audio for a custom, immersive musical field.

Just like the WF-1000XM3, the Sony WF-SP800N has Adaptive Sound Control to adjust ambient sound settings based on your current environment. You also have the convenience of controlling your music by placing your finger on the right and left earbuds. It’s worth noting that the sports headphones are compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa so you can get more than just music.

When is the Sony WF-SP800N Coming to Malaysia?

The Sony WF-SP800N will be coming to Malaysia sometime in July 2020. Local retail price has yet to be announced and we will be reporting on that as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: While the WF-1000XM3 is great, it doesn’t have any water resistance rating so it’s not suitable for exercise. This one on the other hand definitely is but I’m wondering if the listening experience is just as good.
