UPDATE: We’ve added the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Mass Effect Legendary Edition down below.

Many Mass effect fans were greeted by the news that EA and BioWare will be releasing a remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy. Announced during last year’s N7 Day, a special day commemorating the critically acclaimed sci-fi game franchise, the remaster, dubbed the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, will feature improved textures as well as 4K UHD gaming.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition will include all three Mass Effect games including every single DLC released (over 40 of them!) which includes story expansions, weapon and armours skins and packs. Furthermore, the remaster also brings tweaks and improvements to all three games not just in the graphics department but also in terms of gameplay as well, particularly the first Mass effect game.

Some of the tweaks and improvements BioWare has brought to the table include improved Commander Shepard customisations; better hair and makeup choices as well as the ability to start from the first game with the iconic Femshep look introduced in Mass Effect 3.

The first Mass Effect’s overall gameplay has been given much needed touch-ups. The cover system introduced in Mass Effect 2 has been implemented in the game together with improved aiming and weapons balances, improved Mako controls, more intelligent squad behaviour and many more. Environment textures and overall visuals have also been enhanced.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition PC requirements

The game’s Origin page has listed the official minimum and recommended PC requirements and thankfully it’s not too bad. Minimum specs to run the game are either an Intel i5 3570 or AMD FX-8350 processors or any other that is equivalent to those. In terms of graphics, you will need either an NVIDIA GTX 760 or AMD Radeon 7970/ 9280X GPU or anything equivalent. You will also need a minimum of 8GB RAM and 120GB hard drive space.

As for the required PC requirements, you will need either an Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen Ryzen 7 3700X CPU or anything equivalent. As for the graphics, the game requires either an NVIDIA GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon Vega 56 GPU or anything equivalent. Furthermore, you will need 16GB RAM and 120GB hard drive space.

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition will release this coming 14 May and is up for pre-order now on both Steam, Origin, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S as well as previous generation consoles.

Pokdepinion: I’m extremely excited for Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I’m a huge fan of the Mass Effect franchise (I even kinda like Mass Effect Andromeda) and will definitely be pre-ordering this.
