MSI Creator Z16 arrives with 100% DCI-P3 QHD+ display, miniLED RGB keyboard for RM11 999
MSI’s latest laptop designed for content creators is now finally available in Malaysia. To live up to their “Tech Meets Aesthetic” ethos, the MSI Creator Z16 packs amazing specifications and features into its sleek 15.9mm CNC-milled aluminum chassis. The entire package weighs just 2.2kg, making it really portable for its specifications.
Speaking of which, the MSI Creator Z16 packs the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H paired with the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics. This is cooled by the Cooler Boost Trinity+ cooling system, which boasts a network of five heatpipes, four fin arrays and an unconventional three fans. Other specifications include 16GB RAM and 1TB of PCIe storage. This laptop is also a part of the NVIDIA Studio program, so you are assured of flawless compatibility with all the top content creation apps out there.
However the main highlight of this laptop is its display. MSI equipped the MSI Creator Z16 with a 16:10 display, which they claim to “echo the principle of 1.618 that represents the beauty of mathematics and geometry.” Fancy marketing fluff aside, the 16:10 panel offers 11% more viewing area than a standard 16:9 display, which is pretty significant, especially when you consider that the MSI Creator Z16 isn’t much larger than your standard 15.6″ laptop thanks to its razor-thin bezels.
In addition to its unique aspect ratio, the panel here offers a QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Each MSI Creator Z16 is calibrated individually to meet Delta E < 2 at the factory, ensuring that content creators get the most accurate colors right out of the box. That’s not all though, as this laptop also comes with a touchscreen to let you interact with your apps more intuitively.
Another nice touch is its keyboard. While many content creator laptops might feature a boring white LED backlighting for the keyboard, MSI went all out for the MSI Creator Z16. It features a MiniLED backlit keyboard with per-key RGB customization powered by the SteelSeries Engine3. I am not sure how well will the miniLEDs light up the keyboard, but it sure sounds interesting to an RGB enthusiast like yours truly.

Pokdepinion: The trackpad looks rather small for a laptop of this category, but I guess that’s what the touchscreen is for?
