The 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, which offers 500 nits of brightness, a P3 broad colour gamut, anti-reflective screen coating, True Tone, and complete lamination, is the largest we’ve seen on the iPad mini series. Stereo speakers are also included with the tablet. Touch ID has been relocated to the top of the iPad mini, and the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen may be magnetically attached to the side for storage, pairing, and wireless charging.

The iPad mini is powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic Chip, which Apple claims offer a 40% performance boost over prior versions and an 80% boost in graphics performance. Thanks to the sophisticated machine learning capabilities combined with iPadOS 15, the new iPad can run features like Live Text, which employs on-device intelligence to recognise text in photographs that users can act on, and even translates text from photos into seven additional languages.

The new iPad’s cameras have been upgraded as well, with an Ultra-Wide 12MP front camera and a 12MP rear camera. The front camera has a Center Stage feature that automatically pans the camera to keep users in view as they move around, while the rear camera has a True Tone flash and Smart HDR for better photo quality.

5G connectivity and WiFi 6 for fast speeds, as well as USB Type-C for up to 5Gbps data transmission, are among the other features. A new Smart Folio slim case for the iPad mini is available in a variety of colours, including black, white, dark cherry, English lavender, and electric orange.

The iPad mini’s enclosure is entirely comprised of recycled aluminium, marking a significant milestone in the iPad line: every model now has a 100% recycled aluminium enclosure. The primary logic board’s solder is entirely composed of recycled tin, while the enclosure’s magnets and speakers are entirely built of recycled rare earth components.

Apple’s global operations are already carbon neutral, and by 2030, the company plans to have a net-zero climate impact across the board, including manufacturing supply chains and product life cycles. From component manufacture to assembly, transportation, consumer usage, charging, recycling, and material recovery, every Apple device sold will be carbon neutral.

Pokdepinion: Oh I so want this iPad mini. The size is just perfect for me and the inclusion of the Apple pencil support is just the icing on the cake.
