Logitech G435 Lightspeed: Most Affordable Wireless Gaming Headset in Malaysia?

Previously, the Logitech G435 Lightspeed was officially announced by the company, and it’s said to the lightest and most affordable wireless gaming headset around. Now, it’s coming to Malaysia.

Logitech G435 Lightspeed Coming to Malaysia

The Logitech G435 Lightspeed is a wireless gaming headset intended for PC, console, and mobile gamers weighing in a mere 165g. It uses the company’s Lightspeed wireless technology for ultra-low latency with minimal interference. It also supports Bluetooth connection, but keep in mind that there may be more latency with that.

It has a couple of 40mm drivers, memory foam padding, and is compatible with Dolby Atmos, Tempest 3D AudioTech, and Windows Sonic Spatial Sound. While it doesn’t look like it, this wireless gaming headset does have a built-in microphone in the form of dual beamforming microphones as opposed to the traditional boom arm design.

As for battery life, the Logitech G435 Lightspeed is expected to last up to 18 hours per full charge. To charge it, users simply need to juice it up via the USB-C port, but there is no mention of how long it will take to fully charge it. It’s worth noting that it doesn’t have a wired mode so if the battery runs out, you can’t use it.

The Logitech G435 Lightspeed is expected to arrive in Malaysia sometime in October 2021. Howeverthe official Logitech G online store and Lazada store have already listed the wireless gaming headset with a very affordable price of RM299. This already puts it slightly lower than the US retail price, which is USD $79.99 (RM335.20)

Pokdepinion: I’m really curious as to how the beamforming microphones perform. As long as it won’t capture much of the environmental noise, I think it’s perfectly fine as is. The part about not having a wired mode is a bit of a letdown but it is what it is.
