This year, two representatives from the Malaysia, Cambodia, and Philippines regions will compete in the Free Fire World Series Finals. Local and regional fans should expect a hard battle amongst national teams for these two positions while pulling for their country’s representatives.

The teams will compete over six rounds on three different maps to see who can be the last one standing, with points awarded based on round ranking and amount of kills.

Free Fire was selected “Esports Mobile Game of the Year” by the Esports Awards 2021 in November 2021, making it the game’s second year in a row to get the honour. The honour comes on the heels of the Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore achieving all-time high viewership across different platforms.

According to Esports Charts, the Finals of the Free Fire World Series 2021 SG attracted 5.4 million concurrent online viewers, the largest peak viewership of any esports match in history excluding Chinese platforms.

Pokdepinion: I wonder if Free Fire World Series 2022 Sentosa will break last year’s concurrent viewer count? I think it will.
