The Wolf Among Us 2: A Telltale Series Official Trailer Released Virtually

When The Wolf Among Us 2 was first announced in December 2019 at The Game Awards, there was no news of when the game would be released. Fans had no way of knowing any information until today. Telltale, the studio and publisher known for its leading narrative games, has recently showcased The Wolf Among Us 2: A Telltale Series in a virtual premiere across Twitch, Youtube and other social channels in collaboration with The Game Awards and select media.

The Wolf Among Us 2: A Telltale Series First Official Trailer

The premiere of the first official trailer of the game was a full fledged moment as it showed the game fully in display. After that, a series of interviews were led by Geoff Keighley inside one of the game’s green screened set called Godmother’s Bar that is powered by in-game mechanics and the Unreal Engine. 

The interviews by Keighley involved Jamie Ottilie, CEO of the new Telltale, and Nick Herman, AdHoc Studio co-founder and director for The Wolf Among Us 2 and revealed a lengthy discussion about returning characters in the sequel, the use of a new Unreal-based engine and how different the development process for the new season is compared to the first game.

Surrounded by a rich and distinct in-game world the Telltale studio worked so hard to achieve, it was easy to see why they wanted to do the interview like that so as to invite a way for viewers to look in on the game fans have been anticipating to see.

Keighley also engaged with the voices behind the game’s lead characters “Bigby” (the Big Bad Wolf) and “Snow” (Snow White) to discuss what it feels like to revisit the game and its lore after so many years. Ottilie and Herman has also stated that The Wolf Among Us 2 is expected to release sometime in 2023. 

What to Expect in Season 2 of The Wolf Among Us 

Some of the fine points revealed during the event talks about the introduction of classic favourites The Scarecrow and Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz and a new “Mundy” (human) character by the name of Faye Leung who is a New York detective who features heavily in the new season. The season also showcased Bigby attending anger management therapy after being suspended from his sheriff duties, amongst many internal struggles he will face as the leading man. 

The studio also recently revealed that Season 2 takes place merely six months after the first season and that all five episodes are being developed all at once. The game episodes will likely be released as closely timed as possible as compared to past Telltale games. 

The Wolf Among Us 2: A Telltale Series is expected to release on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
