Along with releasing the official name of Skate 4, Full Circle stated that skate. will be free-to-play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Additionally, the game will offer cross-play and cross-progression.
The announcement was made through Full Circle’s The Board Room update, and the team revealed that skate. will take place in San Vansterdam, which is a sister city to San Vanelona in Skate and Skate 2.
The studio also revealed why they picked the title “skate.” rather than Skate 4, stating that this is not a sequel, reboot, or remake, but rather a new platform on which to build for years to come. This implies that fans should not expect a Skate 5 or 10, but rather a skateboarding game that will grow for a very long period.
In June, EA began seeking playtesters for Skate, and the team discussed how it was a difficult choice to enable gamers to experience the game in an incomplete condition. Finally, they want to construct this game with the fans and collect input as soon and as frequently as possible.
skate. does not yet have a release date, but the developer guarantees that it will be released as soon as possible.
