AirAsia Xpress Instant Delivery Service Officially Launched

The AirAsia Xpress Instant Delivery service is now available in Malaysia. It will not be a standalone app however as it’s part of their company’s super app on Android and iOS, under Xpress, so you will need to make use of the app to use the new service.

For now, the AirAsia Xpress Instant Delivery service is only available in Klang Valley, Melaka, Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, Penang, Ipoh, and Kota Kinabalu. They are expected to expand to Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, and the rest of the country in the future, but no word on when that will be happening.

What sets it apart from the other delivery services is that they plan on giving the ability to send parcels to any city, state, and any Asian country (including Australia) within 24 hours. It was mentioned that there are plans to expand to other Southeast Asian countries by either Q2 or Q3 2022.

In case you’re wondering, the rates start at RM4 and are dependent on the distance for the delivery. You have the option of either instant delivery or same-day delivery, the latter of which will take anywhere between 2 to 6 hours. As for the mode of delivery, it will either be by car or motorcycle.

The AirAsia Xpress Instant Delivery service will be available everyday from 10AM to 9PM. To celebrate the launch of the new delivery service, users can get free instant delivery until 25th November 2021, up to RM10.

Pokdepinion: I see no harm in giving it a try, especially since it’s free today. If they can truly expand to the levels that they plan to, it will be amazing, though I can imagine it being very expensive.
