Samsung Malaysia Introduces T7 Shield Portable SSD

Samsung Malaysia has officially introduced its latest external storage solutions, the T7 Shield, with high performance and rugged, durable design. It will sit alongside the existing T7 and award-winning T7 Touch models in the lineup.

Samsung T7 Shield

Designed for users and content creators who works and travels outdoors, the T7 Shield ensures the data is safe from the outside world with its IP65-rated dust and water resistance. It can also withstand drops from up to 3 meters, and doing so with a lightweight body of just 98 grams.

This rugged SSD provides high performance with a read/write speed of 1,050MB/s and 1,000MB/s respectively, fully utilizing the maximum bandwidth provided by USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) standard. To maintain maximum sustained performance, optimizations has been made by changing surface material and software-based improvements to solve performance degradation and overheating issues that happen with large file transfers.

It also features AES-256 encryption standard with hardware-level encryption so users’ data can be safely stored even when the drive is lost. Samsung also provides their Magician software which lets users manage their drives in a convenient interface.

The packaging comes with only 1/3 of tray packaging compared with previous generations, minimizing greenhouse gas emissions during its production.
