Samsung Introduces Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G, Coming Soon To Malaysia

The two devices are quite similar in specs, though there are some minor but important differences.

The Galaxy A54 5G features a set of 50MP+12MP+5MP (wide, ultrawide, macro) camera array on the rear with 32MP front facing selfie camera; whereas the Galaxy A34 5G gets a still-respectable 48MP+8MP+5MP with 13MP sensor handling the selfie duty. Samsung touts its OIS and VDIS feature can provide clear video recording, with combined stabilization techniques.

Both devices are listed with a single 8GB+256GB storage configuration for now – but that may depend on the region, so take this as a reference. Still, you get microSD expansion with up to 1TB if you got plenty of files to store somewhere. Another similarity is the battery, with both sporting the same 5,000mAh cell.

On the display side, the A54 and A34 measures at 6.4-inch and 6.6-inch respectively (yes, the A34 is the larger one) and supports for 120Hz refresh rate. The software support is highly extensive: Samsung says they’re providing up to 4 generations of OS updates (that’s up to Android 17) and 5 years of security updates to both devices – nearly matching Apple’s highly regarded software support for its devices.

The Galaxy A54 5G is available in Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet, and Awesome White, while the Galaxy A34 5G comes in Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Silver. We haven’t got local pricing and availability just yet – with the local Samsung website noting “Coming Soon”, keep an eye out for the news when it arrives in the near future.

Pokdepinion: Both devices seems to be very similar and oddly enough the CPU and display specs seems to be in favor of A34. I guess we have to see the actual thing to find out.
