Rumour has it that the vivo X90S will be powered by the soon-to-be-released MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which is expected to be unveiled on May 10. A recent Google Play Console (GPC) listing seems to confirm this speculation.

The listing reveals that the upcoming vivo X90S will feature the MediaTek MT6985 chipset, which is believed to be the internal name for the Dimensity 9200+ SoC. The chipset is said to include an ARM Cortex-X3 prime core with a clock speed of 3.05 GHz, along with 3x Cortex-A715 cores clocked at 2.85GHz and 4x Cortex-A510 efficiency cores running at 1.8GHz. The ARM Mali G715 GPU is also expected to be included.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset recently posted a higher Geekbench score than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This has left fans excited about the new vivo X90S, which promises to offer impressive performance.

Apart from the chipset, the GPC listing confirms other rumoured specs of the vivo X90S, such as a 1260 × 2800 pixel display with a punch hole cutout, 12GB of RAM, and Android 13 on the firmware side.

The vivo X90 series currently consists of three phones, namely the X90, X90 Pro and X90 Pro+. However, fans are eagerly waiting for the new vivo X90S to be launched. While the release date for the X90S is yet to be announced, its confirmation in the GPC listing suggests that we may see its launch soon.
