MSI’s GeForce RTX 4060 Launch Includes Four Models In Two Designs
MSI has brought in a relatively small lineup of new models for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. The four variants available in this launch are split into two lineup: GAMING series and VENTUS series.
The GAMING X and GAMING variant share the same design; with the former model being factory overclocked to 2610MHz exclusively through MSI Center app (clockspeed maxes out at 2595MHz otherwise). This 115W card measures at 247 x 130 x 41mm, making it a relatively small card thanks to its dual-fan design.
Meanwhile, the entry-level VENTUS series (VENTUS 2X in this case, since it’s a dual-fan card) gets a more modest overclock with the OC variant achieving 2505MHz, while the stock model only gets a 15MHz bump from 2460MHz stock through MSI Center. It measures at 199 x 120 x 41mm; all models supports triple DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and a single HDMI 2.1 for 4K high refresh rate displays.
The AIB vendor didn’t specify on local availability and pricing information at the time of this writing, so keep your eyes peeled.
Pokdepinion: Given AIB’s tendency to outsize the competition, it’s nice to see MSI keeping the size sensible (who really needs a triple-slot triple-fan card for something as efficient as RTX 4060 anyways?)
