Huawei Malaysia Debuts nova 11 Series & WATCH 4 Series
Huawei Malaysia is officially introducing the latest addition in the Nova family – the nova 11 Series. Consisting of nova 11 and nova 11 Pro, the new smartphones feature 50MP main sensor, 50MP RYYB imaging unit and 8MP ultrawide macro camera, paired with laser-based autofocus for faster focus locks. There’s also a 8MP front-facing camera that supports 2x optical zoom.
The nova 11 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with 10x stronger drop resistance over predecessor courtesy of custom Kunlun Glass. It also features a new vegan leather design with nova monogram at the back of the device; meanwhile, the standard model features a 6.7-inch flat display that achieves 93.4% screen-to-body ratio and slashed the chassis thickness down to just 6.88mm, weighing only 168 grams.
The device also sees improvements on gaming performance and thermals. The new cooling system improves heat dissipation by 7%, and additional prediction algorithms help extend battery life by 10%, cut down input latency by 5% and lower the device temperature by 1°C over its predecessor. The battery is 4,500mAh large and supports 100W fast charging that tops up fully in 20 minutes, and 60% in half that time.
Meanwhile, Huawei also introduced the WATCH 4 and WATCH 4 Pro, the latter of which packs a 1.5-inch LTPO display that comes with variable refresh rate as low as 1Hz to save power. Both models supports 30m in free dive distance, 5ATM pressure and IP68 water resistance. In terms of features, both comes with the new Respiratory Check that detects lung-related issues, and TruSleep 3.0 that tracks sleeping patterns.
Huawei’s nova 11 Series will go on sale tomorrow (July 7th) across all Huawei Experience Stores, official website, Shopee & Lazada official store. Three models are available: the nova 11 at RM2,199, nova 11 Pro at RM2,599 (both come with Black or Green colorways) and the entry-level nova 11i costing RM1,299 (Starry Black and Mint Green colors available). Meanwhile, Huawei WATCH 4 will go on sale on the same day with the price of RM1,999; whereas the WATCH 4 Pro will be available one week later, costing RM2,499.
Pokdepinion: I can imagine holding a 6.88mm phone is gonna be really thin. Even a case on it would barely make it thick!
