Sony’s BRAVIA XR A95L TV Now Supports PlayStation Remote Play Feature

BRAVIA XR A95L TV Now Supports PlayStation Remote Play Feature

Sony has just announced the availability of PlayStation Remote Play feature on the BRAVIA XR A95L TV (65″, RM19,999) – making it one of the first Android-powered TVs to support this feature. In essence, Remote Play allows gamers to access PS5 or PS4 titles right on the TV, without needing the console to be physically connected to the TV (when consoles are placed in bedrooms, for example).

Given that this involves remote access, naturally a high-speed connection is a requirement in order for this feature to work as designed. With Remote Play, gamers can simply pick up where they left off in an instant, even away from home. The TV in question is a high-end QD-OLED 4K HDR TV that features Sony’s own Cognitive Processor XR, with brightness-boosting SR Triluminos Max technology that brings the best colors available.

The TV comes with Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode that takes care of the in-game colors, and there’s FPS/RTS mode for those seeking a competitive edge. In a future firmware update, Sony is expected to add a new Game Menu and Multi View (a side-by-side mode that enables players to watch walkthrough during gaming sessions) that further enhances the gaming experience.

Pokdepinion: Neat little feature addition.
