ASUS Launches Rugged Chromebook CR11 Flip for Education

ASUS Malaysia has introduced the ASUS Chromebook CR11 Flip – a rugged ChromeOS laptop designed for education. This 11.6-inch convertible laptop includes an all-round rubber bumper offering 120cm drop resistance, a spill-resistant keyboard capable of withstanding up to 405 cc of liquids, and Corning Gorilla Glass display to ensure durability in educational settings.

The Chromebook CR11 Flip also features an optional garaged stylus, WiFi 6, and a comprehensive set of I/O ports – including two USB-C and USB-A ports respectively, and a microSD card reader. The battery it touted for up to 12 hours of runtime; plus the addition of an antimicrobial guard, low-blue-light display, and an instant-privacy webcam shutter prioritizes hygiene and safety.

For easy maintenance, the laptop’s modular construction allows straightforward repairs and component replacement, minimizing downtime. It also offers compatibility with Google Workspace for Education and ChromeOS’s Chrome Education Upgrade for seamless collaboration and security in educational environments.

In terms of other hardware specs, it comes with Intel Processor N100 (4 E-cores), a pair of cameras (8MP rear facing), and uses USB-C for charging. ASUS Chromebook CR11 Flip is available now, starting at RM1,789 for the 32GB eMMC + 4GB LPDDR5 option, and RM2,099 for the 64GB eMMC + 8GB LPDDR5 configuration.
