DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Introduced, Now Features A Rotating Display

Meet the new DJI Osmo Pocket 3: the brand’s latest compact gimbal camera is introduced today with the new 1-inch CMOS sensor, plus the new 2-inch touchscreen OLED display that can be rotated from vertical to horizontal orientation.

This new 1-inch sensor, an upgrade from the 1/1.7″ of the predecessor, is capable of shooting up to 4K 120FPS under Slow Motion mode. It features the same 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG (hybrid log gamma) modes found on other DJI products. It carries the ActiveTrack 6.0 from the Osmo Mobile 6; optional DJI Mic 2 compatibility allows for two-person recording in specific recording scenarios.

In terms of battery, the Osmo Pocket 3 supports up to 116 minutes of runtime on 4K 60FPS recording, or 166 minutes on 1080p 24FPS. You can charge it up to 80% for as little as 16 minutes and fully charged for double that time – though this will require the 65W PD charger which DJI says is sold separately (if you have a high-end smartphone charger, they should work).

For pricing, DJI offers two packages – the vanilla version with the device itself, and the full-fledged ‘Creator Combo’ that comes with all the kit needed for content creation. The former costs RM2,299, which comes with the device itself, a USB-C to USB-C cable, protective cover, wrist strap and the handle with 1/4″ thread. The Creator Combo, costing RM2,959, will offer additional items such as DJI Mic 2 accessories, battery handle, mini tripod and a carrying bag.

Pokdepinion: The rotating display is definitely a plus, while maintaining its tiny footprint.
