Lenovo Reveals Vision of ‘AI for All’ at 9th Global Tech World Event

Lenovo Reveals Vision of 'AI for All' at 9th Global Tech World Event

Lenovo unveiled its most comprehensive AI capabilities to date at its annual Tech World event in Austin, Texas. The company’s vision, ‘AI for All,’ promotes hybrid AI, allowing AI to operate securely on devices or on-premises servers; the goal is to personalize AI experiences while safeguarding data privacy. This is followed by the company’s investment of an additional $1 billion in AI innovation earlier this year.

Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yuanqing Yang stated: “I am delighted to share our innovative vision for delivering AI for all – individuals and enterprises – around the world, through Lenovo’s pocket-to-cloud computing capabilities, with personalized, tailored knowledge about the individuals and enterprises while protecting privacy and data security. This is also a celebration of partnerships with key leaders in the AI era. Together, we are unleashing the power of AI to help build a smarter, more inclusive, and more sustainable world.”

He was joined by leading industry figures, including NVIDIA Founder, President & CEO Jensen Huang, AMD Chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su, and Formula One Group President and CEO Stefano Domenicalli. Microsoft Chair and CEO Satya Nadella, Qualcomm CEO and President Cristiano Amon, and Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger joined the event virtually.

The company is developing AI-ready infrastructure to provide powerful, tailored, scalable, and energy-efficient AI through a hybrid approach, extending AI beyond the cloud and delivering it to businesses in real-time. They are collaborating with NVIDIA to bring “the power of generative AI to every enterprise”, which is expected to bring the new system based on NVIDIA’s MGX modular reference designs. Additionally, Lenovo is introducing AI-powered devices and features, including an AI PC and AI NOW, a personal AI assistant solution.

Lenovo has also brought a new concept smartphone courtesy of its fully-owned subsidiary, Motorola, with the ability to flex and wrap around a person’s wrist, or a free-standing device that sits on a desk surface. This device comes with a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED display that functions just like any other smartphone on the software side of things, though it can be transformed as a free-standing device using just 4.6-inch of the screen area. There’s mentions of the ChatGPT-like virtual assistants that Lenovo dubbed ‘MotoAI’ as well. That aside, the company also showcased updates on Project Chronos, the AI-powered motion capture system.

Pokdepinion: How does the battery work for a bendy phone like this one, I wonder.
