The highly anticipated OnePlus 12 is just around the corner, with rumors suggesting an official announcement in either December or January. The exact details about the launch plan remain uncertain, with the possibility of a global announcement or a separate unveiling for the Chinese market as seen in the previous year.

OnePlus 12 Expected to One-Up Its Own Predecessor

OnePlus 12 Leaks Reveal A Bigger, Brighter Display with New Aspect Ratio

If you’ve been eyeing the OnePlus 11 but felt it lacked some essential features, here’s some exciting news. A recent leak from the trusted source, Digital Chat Station on Weibo, hints at the OnePlus 12 addressing its predecessor’s shortcomings.

In contrast to the OnePlus 11, the OnePlus 12 is rumored to feature wireless charging support, delivering a fast 50W charging experience. Additionally, it will come equipped with USB 3.2 support through its USB-C port, a valuable addition for enhanced connectivity. Another intriguing addition is an IR blaster, enhancing its functionality.

OnePlus 12 Rumored to Come With Healthy Battery Boost

As previously speculated, the OnePlus 12 will house a “high-quality periscope” zoom lens sporting a 3x optical zoom and a 64 MP sensor. These features were notably absent from the OnePlus 11, indicating that the OnePlus 12 is poised to become one of the most high-end devices in the OnePlus lineup. However, it’s essential to be prepared for a potential price increase given the expanded specification list.

According to earlier reports, the OnePlus 12 will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and will offer configurations with 16GB or 24GB of RAM, a minimum of 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,400 mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging. Display-wise, users can expect a 6.82-inch 120 Hz QHD+ screen featuring a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. Of course, the device will run on Android 14 with the OxygenOS 14 interface. Stay tuned for more updates as the OnePlus 12 launch date approaches.

Pokdepinion: They’ve been on a roll recently, especially given how well the Open ended up being (aside from price). As such, I have high hopes on this. If anything, I’m more worried about the price but if they can maintain it at the same level as its predecessor, I’m certain it will sell like hotcakes.
