ASUS ExpertBook B9 OLED & ExpertBook B6 Flip Now Available In Malaysia

ASUS Malaysia is announcing the availability of its latest ExpertBook lineup – which includes the new ExpertBook B9 OLED and the ExpertBook B6 Flip.

ASUS ExpertBook B9 OLED & ExpertBook B6 Flip Series Now Available In Malaysia

The ASUS ExpertBook B9 OLED comes with an ultra-lightweight chassis thanks to the use of magnesium-lithium alloy that cuts the overall weight down to just 990g. This 14-inch laptop packs a 2.8K 16:10 90Hz OLED panel with 100% DCI-P3 gamut coverage and 400 nits of brightness; inside, it gets an Intel Core i7-1355U with 32GB of LPDDR5-5200 onboard memory, paired with 1TB SSD.

ASUS is also offering something called Carbon Partner Services, which aims to provide carbon offset options to compensate for the CO₂ produced during the laptop’s production process (launching Q4 2023). The production also comes with new techniques that reduce waste and energy efficiency, which involves a process called ‘Thixomolding’. As a business laptop, it’s got all the stops pulled to check all security boxes, including Intel vPro Essentials, webcam shutter, and IR-based face recognition (on top of fingerprints).

Meanwhile, the ASUS ExpertBook B6 Flip is what the company calls a “flippable mobile workstation”, which packs an Intel Core i7-12850HX vPro and workstation-class NVIDIA RTX A2000 Laptop GPU (similar to RTX 3050 Ti in terms of performance). It also offers greater amounts of expandability, with RAM support up to 128GB DDR5-4800 (32GB stock), and a total of 4TB in combined SSD capacity (1TB stock). The SSD also supports TCG Opal self-encrypting standard for greater data security.

The company is targeting the customer base in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) with the laptop’s convertible design, and it’s also certified by ISVs to guarantee the application’s performance and reliability in this laptop. Optionally, the laptop is available with MPP 2.0-compatible ASUS stylus that supports up to 4096 levels of pressure.

As for the pricing, the ASUS ExpertBook B9 OLED will cost RM8,999; whereas the ExpertBook B6 Flip will sell for the price of RM11,999.

Pokdepinion: Not cheap – but that’s the nature of business laptops. Certification isn’t cheap, after all.
