One of the biggest films released this year so far (especially among Chinese films) is the second installment of The Wandering Earth (流浪地球) which serves as a prequel to the first film released in 2019. It’s certainly one that caters to the sci-fi geeks, and if you’re one of those people, good news: you can own a piece of the movie’s various futuristic machinery thanks to accessories maker SHARGE.

The first product on launch is the Internet Hostkey Power Bank, modeled after the Internet Hostkey that conceals 30,000 random passwords to kickstart “Earth Engines”, moving the planet away from the solar system as it faces the impending demise. While the one you’re getting won’t be moving Planet Earth anytime soon, what it can do is charge up to three devices simultaneously, with a maximum of 130W power output (100W max through a single port).

Making use of the 7-segment display originally designed for passwords, the power bank will reveal its charging status and predict the charge time required for the device to be fully charged. It’s also capable of tracking input and output power in real-time for more precise monitoring. However, you can still use the display as originally intended by pressing on the [GENERATE] button, which faithfully recreates the 30,000 random passwords from the film itself.

Next up is the Space Elevator Magnetic Power Bank designed for iPhones with the built-in magnet for MagSafe. The company says its magnet can hold a force of 10 Newtons (~1kg), and the 70x70mm module packs a total of 5,200mAh worth of charge through double-stacked battery cells. It delivers a maximum of 7.5W wirelessly through either MagSafe or Qi standard and uses 20W for cable fast charging.

Finally, meet the MOSS Charger 40W – which originated from the quantum supercomputer AI that predicted and orchestrated the Lunar Fall Crisis of 2058. In real life, it is a 40W GaN charger that delivers 50% charge to all modern iPhones in 30 minutes and supports charging two devices at a time. The real-life remake is also not the sentient AI that humans feared, but it’s just about smart enough to monitor temperatures 100,000 times per day to dynamically adjust power output to prevent overheating.

As for the pricing, the Internet Hostkey comes in two versions: 130W (RM999) and 40W (RM499). The Space Elevator power bank will cost RM229, while MOSS Charger 40W will be priced at RM299. You can own a piece of the Wandering Earth collection through SHARGE’s Lazada store and official website starting December 1, 2023.
