God Of War Ragnarok Graphics Modes for PS4 and PS5 Unveiled

God Of War Ragnarok Graphics Modes for PS4 and PS5 Unveiled

With the launch of God of War Ragnarok on the horizon, we start to learn more about the game. In this case, it’s the graphics modes available in both the PS5 and PS4 versions of the game.

For the most part, the graphics modes available can be divided to two categories; Performance and Quality. There are options which does a balance of both but keep in mind that for Variable Refresh Rate to work, your display must support it as well. Without further ado, let’s dive right into the all the available modes:

God of War Ragnarok on PS5

  • Favour Performance:
    • Resolution: 1440p – 2160p
    • Frame Rate: 60 FPS Target
  • Favour Performance + High Frame Rate:
    • Resolution: 1440p
    • Frame Rate: Unlocked 60 FPS
  • Favour Performance + High Frame Rate + Variable Refresh Rate:
    • Resolution: 1440p
    • Frame Rate: Unlocked 60 FPS
  • Favour Quality:
    • Resolution: Native 4K (2160p)
    • Frame Rate: 30 FPS Target
  • Favour Quality + High Frame Rate:
    • Resolution: 1800p – 2160p
    • Frame Rate: 40 FPS Target
  • Favour Quality + High Frame Rate + Variable Refresh Rate:
    • Resolution: 1800p – 2160p
    • Frame Rate: Unlocked 40 FPS

God of War Ragnarok on PS4 Pro

  • Favour Performance:
    • Resolution: 1080p – 1656p
    • Frame Rate: Unlocked 30 FPS
  • Favour Quality:
    • Resolution: 1440p – 1656p
    • Frame Rate: 30 FPS Target

In case you’re wondering, the standard PS4 model will only be able to run the game at Full HD 30FPS and nothing more. God of War Ragnarok will be launching on both the PS5 and PS4 on 9th November 2022.

Pokdepinion: 40FPS is such an odd figure. Also, I can’t help but notice that it might have trouble running the game at 4K 60FPS consistently, but I’m not sure if the game is really that graphics-intensive or the hardware needs a bit of a push.
