OnePlus 12 Officially Launched In China, Global Release To Follow
OnePlus has recently unveiled its latest flagship, the OnePlus 12 – and the company has formally announced the availability information in China, with global release set to follow shortly. The smartphone also celebrates the brand’s 10th anniversary, which was established back on December 17, 2013. “It is OnePlus’ best gift to users for its tenth anniversary,” said Louis Li, President of OnePlus China.
The upcoming flagship comes with many of the latest hardware, including Qualcomm’s latest-and-greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC which provides 30% faster CPU and 25% faster GPU performance. It’s paired with LPDDR5X RAM, with UFS 4.0-based storage that provides responsive data access speeds. The display comes in the form of 120Hz QHD+ LTPO AMOLED that delivers as much as 4,500 nits of peak brightness; battery-wise, the 5400mAh dual cell battery supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Continuing the collaboration with Swedish camera maker Hasselblad, the OnePlus 12 will feature the 4th Gen Hasselblad Camera for mobile – with the new triple-camera system featuring the new LYT808 50MP sensor co-developed with Sony, OV64B 64MP periscope telephoto camera, and the IMX581 48MP ultrawide camera completing the trio.
Design-wise, it’s largely unchanged from the preceding OnePlus 11, and one of the most visible changes lies in the colored camera bump on the OnePlus 12, as opposed to black. The company announced the availability in China starting on December 11, 2023 – global release is set to follow in early 2024, where other products will launch alongside the latest flagship.
