Kingston's CNY Special Is Back In The Form Of Mini Dragon USB Drive

We’re less than two months away from the Year of the Dragon (in the Chinese lunar calendar, at least), and Kingston has the appropriately themed USB drive ready to celebrate this occasion as usual. The limited-edition 2024 Mini Dragon USB Flash Drive is announced today, available in 128GB of capacity.

This is the continuation of Kingston’s Mini Collection, following the Mini Rabbit USB drive released late last year (review here). The aforementioned storage capacity of the Mini Dragon is an upgrade over the 64GB of the previous model, so you can save more stuff on the go. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) interface offers up to 200MB/s of read speeds.

Similar the previous model, the USB drive constitutes the dragon’s ‘punk hair’ (Kingston’s words, not mine) which you can plug into any Windows, Mac, or Linux device. Essentially, this means the dragon acts as a base for the drive to sit in.

The limited-edition USB drive is now available on Kingston’s retail and online channels, with an MSRP of RM98. Customers will be given complimentary red packets with the purchase of the USB drive, with a chance to win an iPhone 15 through a lucky draw.
