ASUS RT-AX57 Go Travel Router Now Available In Malaysia

ASUS Malaysia has announced the new RT-AX57 Go tri-mode travel router, which offers dual-band connections with speeds rated up to 3,000 Mbps. The router offers tri-mode connectivity including 4G/5G tethering, public Wi-Fi mode (WISP), and traditional router mode.

The router, ASUS says, is capable of handling up to 70 devices all at once through its 160MHz channel support – and the company touts it to be useful in cases where public premise Wi-Fi is restricted to a limited number of devices. For mobile hotspot tethering, users can connect to the router’s USB WAN port to propagate signals for multiple other devices to establish the connection. It also supports AiMesh, meaning it can be used in conjunction with other AiMesh-compatible routers to increase signal coverage in-home use.

On the security front, the router comes with Trend Micro-powered security suite, no subscription required; most VPN protocols including WireGuard and OpenVPN are supported as well. Business users can convert it into a public Wi-Fi node by enabling customizable guest portals with brand-specific sign-in interfaces. Power is supplied through the USB-C port that requires 18W of power (9V/2A).

The ASUS RT-AX57 Go travel router is now available in Malaysia at the price of RM498.
