HP Introduces Updated Spectre x360 Laptops, Unveils New Consumer Accessories

On the non-game, consumer side of things this CES 2024, HP has updated its Spectre x360 lineup with Intel Core Ultra processors – and options include a dedicated NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU if you need that extra compute horsepower at your disposal.

Some of the key features of this laptop include the new 9-megapixel camera that comes with hardware-level low-light adjustment, a dedicated AI chip that enables privacy features such as wake-on-approach, walk-away lock, and the ability to detect other people behind you peeking at the laptop’s content. It’s also capable of brightness, power, and performance management features. The laptops also come with speakers tuned by Poly – another HP acquisition in recent years – and a 2.8K 16:10 VRR OLED display with IMAX Enhanced Certification.

Speaking of Poly, they’re introducing the new Voyager Free 20 wireless earbuds – it comes equipped with hybrid ANC, noise reduction in calls, and a battery life rated at 8 hours of listening time on the earbuds themselves. You can charge the charging case via Qi wireless charging which extends the total battery life by 2.5x, and the Poly Lens Mobile app offers a “personalized fit test” that recommends the users the ideal ear tip size.

In the accessories department, HP brought the HP 960 Ergonomic Wireless Keyboard, which packs a total of 20 programmable keys and a separate numeric keypad that can be placed in any position. The HP 690 Rechargeable Wireless Mouse comes with Qi charging capability and sports six or more programmable buttons; whereas the HP 430 Programmable Wireless Keypad comes with mechanical low-profile switches that also come with 5 macro keys by default.

The company also introduced the HP 400 Backlit Wired Keyboard, which is a spill-resistant and sanitizable 96% layout keyboard that supports both USB-A and USB-C connectivity through the included adapter. Finally, the HP USB-C Travel Hub G3 offers five additional ports including a USB-C port, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and another USB-C passthrough port for device charging.

Finally, the company also unveils the new Series 5 monitors, available in 24, 27, and 32 inches. These displays offer 1500:1 contrast ratio and 100Hz refresh rate, capable of connecting multiple devices via an additional HDMI port. It’s ultra-thin design also incorporates cable management channels for easy cable management.
