Dell Introduces New Precision Workstations & Latitude Business Laptops

Dell unveiled a new fleet of commercial laptops, workstations, and a new headset on MWC 2024. These new models prominently feature new hardware, including the inclusion of NPUs (neural processing units) and GPUs with AI acceleration capabilities.

The new Precision lineup includes the Precision 3280 CFF, 3490, 3590, 3591 mobile workstations, 3680 Tower, and 5490 & 5690 mobile workstations. All models feature Intel CPUs and NVIDIA RTX Ada Generation GPUs, including the recently unveiled RTX 1000 and RTX 500 Ada Generation GPU.

The Precision 3280 CFF (which stands for Compact Form Factor) can be installed right behind a monitor, and it packs a downsized RTX 4000 SFF Ada Generation GPU for graphics and AI duty. Meanwhile, the 3680 Tower comes available with Intel 14th Gen CPUs and NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPU, making it the most powerful workstation of the lineup.

Moving on to Latitudes, Dell unveils the Latitude 3450, 3550, 5350, 5450, 5550, 7350, 7350 Detectable, 7450, 7650, and the 9450 2-in-1. All models are powered by Intel’s new Core Ultra processors, with the 9450 2-in-1 leading the pack with Wi-Fi 7 support, Mini-LED display, HDR webcam, haptic touchpad, and the new Zero-Lattice Keyboard previously seen on some XPS laptops.

The Latitude 7000 series comes available with 13, 14, and 16-inch options, plus a 2-in-1 form factor option available; with the 7350 Ultralight and 7450 Ultralight weighing just 0.98kg and 1.05kg respectively. Meanwhile, the 5000 series offers the same sizing option as the 7000 series, while offering a price point suitable for large-scale deployments. Finally, the entry-level 3000 series completes the lineup today.

Aside from PCs and laptops, Dell is also introducing the new Premier Wireless ANC Headset (WL7024) – featuring AI-based noise-canceling microphones, ANC (active noise cancellation), smart sensors, and touch controls for a convenient user experience.

All products are expected to begin entering the market starting March 2024, with select models to follow later in the year. No pricing has been announced at this writing.
