The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB is not the kind of GPU that excites most gamers as the company is positioning it as a low-power offering that replaces the outgoing GTX series. Still, as OEM solutions gradually get introduced to the market, here we have ASUS’s entry that features a tiny footprint and the return of the classic DVI interface.

As reported by TechPowerUp, The GPU in question is the ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 LP BRK 6GB – and despite its tiny size and unassuming looks, it’s got a factory-overclocked variant as well (and Dual-BIOS, based on the spec sheet). Given that this silicon is the cut-down version of the vanilla RTX 3050 8GB, you get slightly fewer CUDA cores, 6GB of VRAM, and a significantly lower power draw, at just 70W – which no longer requires a PCIe 8-pin connector to function.

Naturally, this HHHL-like form factor provides a footprint advantage in space-constrained systems – at just 182 x 69 x 40 mm, it should have no issue dealing with the smallest of PC cases (there’s even a low-profile bracket included). Another unique feature of this GPU is the presence of the legacy DVI-D connector, which is a rarity these days considering this is an old standard that is only seen in ultra-budget monitors today. That aside, you still get HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 for connecting modern displays.

While both models are currently listed on ASUS’s website, the company hasn’t officially confirmed pricing for these cards so far.

Pokdepinion: Given that we know this GPU is 20% weaker than the regular RTX 3050, I guess it could play some games at reasonable framerates too. Kind of disorienting to see a card this tiny to be capable of gaming though.
