MSI Launches Four New QD-OLED Gaming Monitors In Malaysia
MSI Malaysia today unveiled four new gaming monitors utilizing the latest QD-OLED panel technology, offering HDR capability in various sizes. Aside from that, the company also introduced OLED Care 2.0 for even more comprehensive burn-in protection.
QD-OLED stands for quantum dot organic light emitting diode – one of the key advantages it offers is better color conversion efficiency, which produces a greater range of colors and higher brightness. For MSI’s implementation, all monitors feature graphene sheets that help with passive heat dissipation. The company also confidently offers 3 years of burn-in warranty to all of its QD-OLED models.
Starting with the 49-inch MPG 491CQP QD-OLED, this dual-QHD monitor features 32:9 aspect ratio, 1800R curvature, with 144Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time; a second curved model, the MAG 341CQP QD-OLED, shares the same 1800R curvature in this 21:9 ultrawide monitor that features UWQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, 175Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time. Both curved monitors also received VESA ClearMR 9000 and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certifications.
Moving on, we have two more MAG series models in the form of MAG 321UPX QD-OLED and MAG 271QPX QD-OLED. The former features 4K 240Hz panels, while the latter sports a QHD 360Hz panel. All models come with HDMI 2.1 ports with full 48Gbps bandwidth, as well as console-focused features like 120Hz mode, VRR, and ALLM (auto low-latency mode). As a bonus, they also support CEC, which allows multiple devices to be managed via a single controller.
MSI also provided details on the new OLED Care 2.0 technology backed by its 3-year burn-in warranty. The original version of OLED Care came with basic features like pixel shift and static screen detection; in this new iteration, it can now detect subtle parts of the display that end up staying static for long periods of time. These include the Windows Taskbar, window borders, static logos, and more – once detected, the panel will decrease the brightness of the pixels involved to reduce the risk of burn-in.
All four models are now available nationwide – the MPG 491CQP is priced at RM6,499, while the MAG 341CQP is set to cost RM4,799 apiece. For the MAG 312UPX and MAG 271QPX, they’ll cost RM6,099 and RM4,299 respectively.
