ASUS Launches ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova Earbuds

ASUS Malaysia today announces the launch of its latest gaming earbuds – the ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova. Most earbuds rely on Bluetooth connections for audio, but this ROG Cetra, much like most gaming-optimized earbuds, utilizes 2.4GHz wireless as well to cut down on latency.

With dual connectivity feature, the earbuds allow for hybrid multipoint support, which simultaneously connects to two devices – one via Bluetooth and one via 2.4GHz, or two Bluetooth connections. ASUS quotes battery life as up to 46 hours in Bluetooth (ANC + RGB off) and up to 36 hours in 2.4GHz mode. A five-minute charge provides 1 hour of usage time, while a full charge of the earbuds can provide up to 11.5 hours in one go. It also supports IPX4 ingress protection against splashes of liquids.

Audio-wise, the new LC3+ codec (available in 2.4GHz only) delivers high-resolution 24-bit/96kHz audio, with Dirac Opteo tuning designed for “accurate sound staging”. The adaptive ANC, adjustable via the Armoury Crate app, adapts based on how the earbuds are worn by the user and their ear canal’s shape, and it also comes with wind-noise reduction to cut down on noises that usually get picked up by microphones easily.

The ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova is priced at RM938 and will be available soon.

Pokdepinion: The case looks pretty compact as far as I can tell.
