AMD EPYC AM5 CPUs Leaked, Including 3D V-Cache Models

Last week, it was known that AMD is reportedly releasing a new EPYC lineup of CPUs in its consumer-facing Socket AM5 form factor. It didn’t take long for leaks to reveal the actual chip, and that happened on the weekend when a seller in the US accidentally revealed seven of the upcoming EPYC 4004 processors.

The AMD EPYC line of server/enterprise processors currently consists of three major lineups: Genoa (EPYC 9004), Bergamo (EPYC 9704), and Siena (EPYC 8004). These models feature as many as 96 Zen4 cores or 128 Zen4c cores per socket, whereas the EPYC 4004 series, which uses Socket AM5, will likely be capped at 16 cores – just like its desktop Ryzen counterparts. However, it’s unclear if some models may feature all-Zen4c core configuration to fit up to 32 Zen4c cores per socket.

Speaking of models, here are the seven CPUs listed on eBay (via Chiphell):

  • AMD EPYC 4244P
  • AMD EPYC 4344P
  • AMD EPYC 4364P
  • AMD EPYC 4564P
  • AMD EPYC 4384PX (3D V-Cache)
  • AMD EPYC 4484PX (3D V-Cache)
  • AMD EPYC 4584PX (3D V-Cache)

If we follow the convention of consumer Ryzen CPUs, the three V-Cache enabled models should likely be 8-, 12-, and 16-core SKUs with up to 128MB of L3 cache. However, no information regarding each chip’s specs has been revealed so far, so we’ll have to wait until AMD’s official announcement (Computex is possible, albeit unlikely).

Pokdepinion: Well that was quick. Launch is imminent then, I suppose?
