BYD ATTO 3 2024 Now Official in Malaysia – Price, Specs, and New Features Revealed
Sime Darby Motors has officially unveiled the latest iteration of the popular electric SUV, the BYD ATTO 3 2024, in Malaysia. Following the recent price cuts for the 2023 models, the updated 2024 variant arrives with notable enhancements and a single Standard Range variant, maintaining affordability without compromising on features.

The BYD ATTO 3 2024, now exclusively available in a Standard Range variant, is priced at RM149,800 for Peninsular Malaysia. Including registration and other applicable fees, the On-The-Road (OTR) price amounts to RM150,430, excluding insurance. In East Malaysia, the vehicle is priced at RM153,300, with an OTR price of RM153,930, excluding insurance.
While the availability of an Extended Range model for 2024 remains uncertain, the previous iteration boasted a price tag of RM167,800. Equipped with a larger 60.5kWh battery, the Extended Range model offers an extended WLTP-rated range of 420km on a single charge and supports 80kW of DC fast charging.
Retaining its signature design and core features, the BYD ATTO 3 2024 introduces several aesthetic updates, including new interior and exterior color options. Notably, the model now incorporates certain “Extended Range” features at no additional cost and receives a significant upgrade to its infotainment system. Gone is the long “Build Your Dreams” badge on the back, replaced by a sleek “BYD” emblem for a cleaner aesthetic. The exterior also sees the introduction of the Cosmos Black color option, adding to the existing lineup.
The Standard Range ATTO 3 2024 features 17″ wheels with 215/60 R17 tires, although the tire specifications remain unconfirmed. Interior enhancements include the introduction of a new Black-Dark Blue color scheme, complementing the existing Dark Blue-Light Grey option.
The most notable upgrade lies within the infotainment system, which now boasts a larger 15.6″ rotating screen, akin to the BYD Seal model. Offering support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the system provides seamless connectivity for enhanced user experience. Additionally, the Standard Range model includes a wireless charging pad and multi-color gradient ambient lighting.
Powered by a single motor upfront delivering 201hp and 310Nm of torque, the ATTO 3 2024 offers impressive performance capabilities. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 7.9 seconds, thanks to its 49.9kWh LFP battery, providing up to 345km of WLTP-rated range on a single charge. Charging options include single-phase 7KW AC charging and up to 70kW for DC charging, ensuring quick and convenient recharging options. Moreover, the vehicle supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing users to power other home appliances.
Backed by a comprehensive warranty package, the BYD ATTO 3 2024 offers peace of mind with 6 years or 150,000km vehicle warranty, 8 years or 160,000km battery warranty, and 8 years or 150,000km drive unit warranty.
