ASUS ROG GX700 launch event: The Experience
Yesterday we attended ASUS’ event where we witnessed the launch of the ASUS ROG GX700. While we have already had our first impressions of the amazing gaming notebook, here is the event coverage. We will skip the slides detailing the awesomeness of the ROG GX700, and just try to give you a feel of being at the event.
The event was held at Slate @ The Row, near the Medan Tunku Monorail station. It was impossible to miss the event venue with the two huge ROG balloons outside the venue.
The entrance was guarded by two ASUS personnel who requested our details before handing over an envelope. What was within, is confidential.
Inside, two pretty ladies were target practice for all the (camera) shooters. Of course, we didn’t miss.. our opportunity, that is.
Entering the event, there are few seats. Most of which were already taken. We had to stand, but that’s alright. We spend most of our time on our asses anyway.

If you have stalked our Facebook page, you may have seen that we shared an image of a luggage bag. The ROG GX700 doesn’t come in a standard box, but an actual luggage bag. Models not included.
The ROG GX700’s liquid cooling system features proprietary connectors that ensure an easy to use and leak free usability.
Here we get to take a closer look at the insides of the liquid cooling system of the ROG GX700.
Doesn’t it just look beast?
At this event, ASUS also announced their partnership with Garena to launch the ROG Champions’ Cup, which is set to go down on the 25th of June at Sunway Pyramid Ice Rink. Winner of the tournament will walk away a total prize pool of RM60000!
The ASUS ROG GT51 desktop was also displayed at the event. The desktop features a very cool design, but the specifications were not released to us yet. The ASUS ROG Horus keyboard and Gladius mouse were connected to the rig, and they looked absolutely awesome.
An array of ASUS ROG notebooks to touch and feel…
But of course everyone was clamoring to get a better look at the ROG GX700’s cooling system. After all, how could you not?
There was also a claw game for the participants to play. The guy here is a tad more excited than most of us though.
That wraps up our event coverage for the ASUS ROG media event on the 27th of June 2016. For more information about the ASUS ROG GX700, take a look at our first impressions. Oh and BTW, it will cost RM18999.
